1st Birthday Celebration Photography at Home
There’s something special about celebrating a first birthday at home. Familiar rooms fill with family, friends, laughter, and the kind of little moments that make a day memorable.
This first birthday brought everyone together for an afternoon of celebration, with loved ones gathered around the birthday boy and a children’s magician keeping the little guests entertained. Between the excitement of the show, the conversations among family and friends, and the simple joy of being together, the day unfolded at its own pace.
This family embraces the documentary approach. There was no group shots, no “say cheese”, just real, authentic memories. For these sessions, I’m constantly analyzing the scene, looking for composition, lighting, emotion and always thinking about timing. I’m looking to layer a photograph with foreground, middle ground and background.
