Jay & Michael’s Wedding Celebration At Country Club Of The Carolinas

Jay & Michael got eloped out of the country, but still wanted to share this special moment with their family. So, they decided to have the wedding reception at The Country Club Of The Carolinas.

Set against the beautiful surroundings of the club, the celebration brought family and friends together to witness and share in a meaningful moment for the couple. The setting offered an elegant backdrop, but what made the day memorable were the people who filled it.

Throughout the celebration, I focused on documenting the day as it unfolded: the interactions between guests, the expressions exchanged between family members, the laughter that surfaced in conversation, and the quieter moments that often happen away from the center of attention.

These are the moments I’m drawn to as a documentary wedding photographer. Rather than turning the day into a series of photographs, my approach is to observe, anticipate, and preserve what happens naturally. The goal is to create a record of the celebration that feels true to the experience, including the details you might not have noticed in the moment.

The Country Club of the Carolinas provided a beautiful setting for Jay and Michael to celebrate with the people closest to them.
