Wedding Information Guide

YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDE

Your wedding day deserves to be remembered as it actually felt.

Your wedding photographs shouldn't just show you what happened.

They should bring you back to it.

The nervous excitement before the ceremony. The way your partner looked at you when you weren't paying attention. Your dad trying not to cry. Your friends laughing during cocktail hour. The people you love dancing together at the end of the night.

That's what I'm looking for.

I photograph weddings in a documentary, candid style with an emphasis on real moments, honest emotion, and the people who make your wedding meaningful.

My goal is simple:

Be present with the ones you love.

I'll be there to preserve what you might otherwise miss.

A little about me

I'm Brandon, a documentary wedding photographer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve covered over 300 weddings up and down the East coast.

I've always been drawn to photographs that feel real—the photographs that make you remember not just what something looked like, but what it felt like to be there.

I focus on telling the story using light, timing, composition and emotion because I believe thats what makes a great, meaningful photograph.

I'm naturally observant and laid-back, which works well on a wedding day. I'm not interested in turning your entire day into a photoshoot. I want to give you enough direction to create beautiful portraits while leaving plenty of space for the moments that happen on their own.

When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm usually working on personal documentary photography projects, exploring with my camera, or finding new places to photograph.

Ultimately, I think your photographs should be about more than just the two of you.

They're about the people who showed up for you, the relationships that brought everyone together, and a day you'll never experience in quite the same way again.

That's why I photograph weddings the way I do.

Be present with the ones you love. I'll take care of the photographs.

My Approach

Documentary photography, without the pressure.

A lot of couples worry that having a photographer means spending the entire wedding day posing for photographs.

That's not how I work.

I'll absolutely create beautiful portraits of you, your family, and the people who matter most—but most of the day, I'm looking for what's happening naturally.

I want you to experience your wedding rather than constantly think about being photographed.

I'll give you direction when it's helpful, step in when something important needs to happen, and otherwise let the day unfold.

You don't need to know how to pose.

You don't need to be comfortable in front of a camera.

You just need to be yourselves.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

A CALM, OBSERVANT PHOTOGRAPHER

Wedding days can be chaotic.

My job isn't to add to that chaos.

I'll keep an eye on the timeline, anticipate important moments, and help when something needs direction—but I'll also know when to step back.

REAL MOMENTS

I'm constantly watching for the little things:

A glance across the room.

A grandmother watching the ceremony.

Your friends laughing during dinner.

Your parents holding hands.

The quiet moment before you walk down the aisle.

Those moments often become the photographs you'll care about most.

BEAUTIFUL PORTRAITS

Documentary doesn't mean completely hands-off.

I'll make sure we set aside time for portraits of the two of you and the people closest to you.

I'll give you enough direction to create photographs that look natural without making the experience feel like a photoshoot.

FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHS

I understand family photographs are important to some clients.

They aren't always the most exciting photographs to make, but for some clients they are extremely valuable.

I'll help organize family portraits efficiently so we can get through them without taking over your entire day.

Gallery delivery & file management

How many photos will we receive?

Every wedding is different, so I don't promise an arbitrary number of photographs.

As a general guideline, couples can expect roughly 50–60 finished photographs per hour of coverage, depending on the events and pace of the day or 400-500 photos for an 8 hour wedding.

My priority is always quality over quantity.

You'll receive a carefully edited collection of photographs that tells the story of your wedding—not hundreds of nearly identical frames.

When will we receive our photos?

You'll receive a small selection of sneak peek photographs within 24 hours of your wedding.

Your complete gallery is typically delivered within 4–6 weeks.

If you need your full gallery sooner, expedited delivery is available for $500, with delivery within 1-2 weeks.

How will we receive our photos?

You will be able to access all of your photos through a private online gallery. You can share the gallery with your family & friends. The gallery never expires and you have unlimited downloads in both web size and full resolution.

Your photos are backed up

Your wedding photographs are too important to exist in only one place.

Throughout the process, your images are backed up across multiple storage locations, including cloud storage and physical drives.

Keeping client’s photos safe is a top priority. On your wedding day I photograph on multiple cameras that all have two sd card slots.

Booking process

01 — REACH OUT

Send me your wedding date, venue, and a little information about your plans.

I'll check my availability and send you the information you need.

02 — LET'S TALK

If you'd like, we'll schedule a phone or video call.

This isn't a sales pitch.

It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other, talk about your wedding, and make sure we're a good fit.

03 — MAKE IT OFFICIAL

Once you've decided you'd like me to photograph your wedding, I'll send over your contract and invoice.

Your date is officially reserved once the contract is signed and the 50% retainer has been paid.

The remaining balance is due two weeks before the wedding.

Payment plans are also available.

04 — PLAN TOGETHER

About 30 days before your wedding, I'll send you a questionnaire so I can learn the details of your day.

We'll go over the timeline, important people, family photographs, special traditions, and anything else you want me to know.

05 — GET MARRIED

Then you get to do the important part.

Get married.

Be with your people.

Enjoy the day.

I'll take care of the photographs.

Frequently asked questions

Will you photograph the details?

Yes.

I'll photograph meaningful details throughout the day, including things like invitations, rings, flowers, attire, venue details, and other elements you've put thought into.

Yes.

I'm comfortable photographing weddings of different sizes and will adapt my approach to your celebration.

Absolutely. Everyone deserves to have their wedding documented honestly and beautifully.

Your gallery includes personal printing rights, so you can print and share your photographs for personal use.

Do you offer albums?

Yes. I offer albums as an add-on. If you’d like an album, mention it and I can give you a quote for the additional price.

We make photographs.

Some of my favorite wedding photographs happen when the weather doesn't cooperate.

I'll work with you and your venue to make the most of whatever conditions we're given.

What happens if you're sick or unable to photograph our wedding?

In my 12 years as a professional photographer and over 350 weddings captured, I have never missed a wedding.

That being said, I maintain professional contingency plans for unexpected circumstances and will make every reasonable effort to ensure your wedding is photographed as contracted.

Do you use flash?

In short, no. I do bring different lighting, just in case, but I always shoot available light. This is what gives my photos a true to life, authentic feel. Having extensive experience photographing in just about every lighting scenario you can think of, rest assured no scene is too dark.

The most important part

Your wedding day will go by faster than you think.

There will be moments you see.

There will be moments you miss.

And there will be moments you don't realize happened until you see them in your photographs.

That's why I don't want you spending your wedding day worrying about photography.

I want you on the dance floor.

I want you laughing with your friends.

I want you hugging your parents.

I want you completely present with the person you married, because I truly believe that’s what is most important.

I'll be there quietly documenting it all.

Be present with the ones you love.

I'll take care of the rest.
